Wednesday, group work

Wednesday's we wear green SWU Libraries t-shirts.

The groups enjoyed their work together, and they stayed late to create excellent Power Point presentations for Thursday

Why this blog?

Hello, I'm Lynn Scott (Scottie) Cochrane, Director of Libraries at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Having been selected for a Fulbright Senior Specialist grant to teach and consult in Thailand with a consortium of four university libraries from January 25-March 10, 2007, I want to use this blog to share my professional and personal Fulbright experiences with colleagues and friends. Under the leadership of Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, and with funding from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, I will advise and teach library staff, and graduate and undergraduate library science students at Pibulsongkram, Khonkaen, Walailak, and Srinakharinwirot Universities, with the goal of helping those libraries and future librarians offer improved service to their users. I'll share with my Thai colleagues best practices in reference services and information fluency, as well as library administration in a digital environment. Undoubtedly, I will learn as much or more from them as they will from me. I hope this will be the beginning of a positive relationship between Denison and the colleagues I will get to know in Thailand.
